A standard shipping container is the most common type used for transporting goods by sea. They are typically made of steel and come in various sizes, ranging from 20 to 40 feet in length. Standard shipping containers are used for a variety of applications, including the transport of general cargo, automobiles, and construction materials.40 GP
High-cube shipping containers are similar to standard containers but are taller. They are typically used for transporting taller items, such as machinery or furniture. High-cube containers come in various sizes, ranging from 40 to 53 feet in length.40 High Cube
The 40-foot high cube container, similar in footprint to the standard 40-foot model but taller at approximately 9.5 feet, offers about 2,700 cubic feet of internal storage space due to its increased height. It supports the same total gross weight of 67,200 pounds as the standard container and is particularly well-suited for transporting light, bulky items like automotive parts, furniture, and light machinery. Its additional height also makes it the preferred choice for shipments requiring more vertical space for taller commodities or specific types of equipment.ISO Tanks
A tank shipping container is a large metal container used to transport liquids and gases. They are commonly used to ship crude oil, chemicals, and other hazardous materials. Tank containers are made of thick steel and lined with an impermeable material, such as rubber or plastic, to prevent leaks and protect the cargo from contamination. These containers are typically much larger than standard shipping containers and can hold up to 80,000 gallons of liquid. They are usually transported by train or truck.Reefers
Reefer containers, short for refrigerated containers, are specialized shipping containers used to transport temperature-sensitive goods. They are equipped with an integrated refrigeration system that maintains the desired temperature, making them ideal for shipping food items, pharmaceuticals, and other perishables.
The containers are made of high-grade steel and insulated with materials that ensure thermal efficiency. Reefers come in various sizes, typically ranging from 20 feet to 40 feet, and are used globally in intermodal transport, including sea, rail, and road freight.
The advanced cooling technology in reefer containers can cater to both chilled and frozen goods, ensuring that cargo remains in optimal condition throughout the journey.
